A project has been initiated to construct an iron ore concentrate production factory with a production capacity of 2.4 million tons per year, aiming to increase the annual iron ore concentrate production to 5 million tons to supply the input feed for the pellet production line.
The processes and operations in this project include conveying the minerals from the mills to the factory by conveyor belts, secondary grinding, multistage magnetic separation, millings, tailings thickener and reclamation of water from the process, concentrate filtration, stockpiling, loading and transportation of the concentrate. The main input feed of the concentrate factory is supplied from the Sangan's anomalies, and the factory needs 5 million tons of iron ores per year.
The factory's location was selected within the Sangan Mining zone and according to the engineering and expert studies. The minerals needed for the company are supplied from the Sangan’s western anomalies and B rock mass. This magnetite rock mass has less sulfur and does not require flotation and desulfurization.
The project has been assigned to and performed by an EPC contract with Ascotec Group as the foreign contractor and Sazehaye Sanatiye Azaran Company as the domestic contractor.
It is noteworthy that 30% of the project has been developed, and it is estimated that most of the equipment will be installed by 2023, and the plant will be commissioned at the beginning of 2024.
